Building a Mobile Golf Business | Episode 89 with Scott Sill
Scott Sill didn’t set out with a perfectly mapped business plan. He was an independent insurance agent sitting at his desk wondering what he could build that he would actually enjoy.
The answer started with golf.
Scott is the founder of Rollin’ Birdies Golf, a mobile golf simulator experience built for parties, corporate events, tournaments and gatherings throughout the Upstate.
In this episode, we talk about how the idea became a business, building it alongside his wife Lindsey, learning through early events and technical problems, growing from one simulator to three, and the relationships that have helped open doors along the way.
We also get into golf, baseball, community, entrepreneurship, and one of the lessons Scott has learned from building something from scratch: don’t let the pursuit of perfection keep you from getting started.
Sometimes you have to say yes, figure it out, troubleshoot what goes wrong, and get better the next time.
